Every year in late November, something really special happens here. The Brass Rail transforms into a place of generosity, kindness and community. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, donors and local partners, we prepare and deliver thousands of meals to St. Charles County friends in need — no questions asked, no one left behind. Scott Ellinger created this thoughtful program in 2012 with a strong assist from Melissa Caulfield, and we proudly continue the tradition to build community spirit and help make St. Charles County a better place. 

We hope you will join us this year in whatever capacity you are able. Volunteer. Donate a meal. Deliver on Thanksgiving. We cannot do what we do without all of you and we're looking forward to another great Thanksgiving season of community and giving back.

Here's the scoop for TBR Thanksgiving 2025:

1) Once again, those requesting a meal will sign up online. While we understand not everyone has access to a computer or smartphone, most should be able to find someone in the community who may assist with this quick/easy process. Of course, our number one goal is to reach as many in need as possible. Online signup allows us to easily sort locations so that deliveries are more efficient and ultimately, we are able to reach even more in need. Click HERE to sign up for a Thanksgiving meal. 

Also, a gentle reminder that WE DO NOT ACCEPT MEAL REQUESTS VIA PHONE. Each year, we receive hundreds of calls all hours of the day with a variety of questions about Thanksgiving. As you might imagine, this slows restaurant service tremendously during an already-very-busy time of year. If you must call, please do so between 2-4 pm. Once capacity has been reached, we will make an announcement and no more meal requests will be accepted. 

2) Want to help but can't volunteer? DONATE A MEAL. It's quick, easy, and more importantly, helps us feed another person in need. Click HERE to donate and make a difference TODAY. 

ANYONE donating a meal will be entered into a drawing for a $100 TBR gift card! Contest ends on Thursday, 11/27 and the gift card winner will be announced on Friday, 11/28. 

To volunteer with us, click HERE. We have a limited number of spots for on-site volunteers and ask that you only sign up for one shift per person to allow for as many volunteers as possible. We also appreciate those willing to deliver meals for us on Thanksgiving morning. NO SIGN UP IS NECESSARY TO DELIVER MEALS!

To deliver a meal on Thanksgiving, just show up! Deliveries begin at 10:00 AM on Thanksgiving Day. Follow the line of cars and we'll have your box of food ready to go!
